- User-Generated Content: We store data you voluntarily provide, including animal details, photos, prices, and chat messages exchanged between buyers and sellers.
- Location Data: To place ads, you may provide your location manually or allow the app to detect your current location. This is used solely to display where the animal is located to potential buyers.
- Usage Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data regarding app usage, crash reports, and performance metrics.
2. Device Permissions
To provide the core features of Animal Mart, we may request access to the following features on your device:
- Camera: Required to take photos of animals (horses) you wish to sell or to update your profile picture.
- Storage / Gallery: Required to upload existing photos of animals from your device to your ads.
- Location: Required if you choose to use the "Current Location" feature when posting an ad.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To facilitate the buying and selling of animals by connecting buyers with sellers.
- To enable the in-app chat functionality via Firebase, allowing users to communicate regarding listings.
- To manage your account, including password resets ("Forget Password") and authentication.
- To monitor app stability and improve user experience via Firebase Analytics.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase as our backend service provider. Firebase helps us with:
- Authentication: Managing secure sign-ins (Email, Google, Facebook).
- Realtime Database/Firestore: Storing ad details, user profiles, and chat history.
- Analytics: Analyzing how the app is used.
We do not display third-party advertisements, nor do we sell your personal data to advertisers.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account at any time within the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal profile data is removed from our system.
- Ad Data: If you delete an ad or your account, the associated listing information is removed from the public view.
6. Payment Information
Animal Mart does not currently process payments. All financial transactions for the buying and selling of animals are conducted directly between the buyer and seller outside of the application. We do not collect or store credit card details or bank information.
7. Security
We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information and we use Firebase's secure infrastructure to protect it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
